I have a feeling that my posts are all going to say you must go there or here or everywhere, but for now the place I went for brunch this Sunday morning is my favourite place, you really must go when you're here.
Just off Bourbon Street, they serve a Jazz Bruch everyday, make a reservation if you can and then if it's sunny you get to sit in the quaint courtyard. This place has been here since 1832 and reeks of tradition.
You really could sit here for hours, over 80 dishes, from normal breakfast fare ( the eggs cooked from a booth by two egg chefs, they cooked my smooth eggs benedict) through gumbos, curries, hams and salads, to seafood and a massive range of hot and cold sweets. All served with as much of the most devine coffe as you care to drink.... Obvioulsy you can drink whatever you like and it seemed rude not to accept my waitresses suggestion of the special Bloody Mary!
I have the opportunity to attend a restaurant conference in New Orleans The conference is a roundtable format to exchange ideas and practices and only restaurants currently in growth have been asked to attend so that it is a very positive event.I am sure that it will be extremely useful to explore fresh ideas from the States, to tap into techniques to improve our customer service and offering and to meet new contacts for possible partnership, investment or future purchase.
